Kings Stag, Sturminster Newton, Dorset, DT10 2AY Tel: 01258 817338 Friendly pub in the heart of the (tiny) village of Kings Stag. We used to come under the previous ownership but have not been for many years. Recently we decided to have a family walk to a local pub restaurant with a garden and chose the Bricklayers Arms. Food was 5* and just great. I have never seen any canines in the bar area. From the ivy-covered exterior to the cosy dining room with its beamed ceilings and open fires, the Bricklayers Arms is a charming eatery serving fine wine and Anglo French fare. Had really high hopes for it as the location is one in a mill. At the King Stag we have become a very popular venue used for many parties from 30th to 80th birthday parties, company functions or just friends getting together. No, I 'm pretty sure they do not allow dogs inside.

I had the best chicken liver parfait I have ever tasted., followed by Haddock and chips followed by the most amazing...The Bricklayers Arms was the place I’d been waiting to reopen most and as the first restaurant/pub I’ve been too since the easing, it didn’t disappoint. The service was fantastic and the food was utterly sensational. It continues to impress local foodies and travelling gourmets with a passion for locally sourced food and warm, friendly atmosphere.
